JulieGerdes-hi

We’re thrilled to announce that Julie Gerdes has been promoted to Vice President of Product Management, responsible for overseeing Quotient’s entire portfolio of products.

Julie has been with Quotient since March 2012 and has been instrumental in planning and executing product strategy. Most recently, as Senior Director of Consumer Products, Julie oversaw our flagship consumer property, Coupons.com, and she played a key role in developing Retailer iQ, which powers digital coupon loyalty programs for many large retailers. She also led the teams developing some of our important new products, such as the upcoming version of the Coupons.com mobile app, which is scheduled to be released next month, and personalized digital circulars, which we’re currently working with retail partners to implement.

Julie has held a range of positions in her 20-year career, mostly involving product strategy and user experience. She’s worked for several Silicon Valley startups as well as CoxNet, a division of Atlanta-based Cox Newspapers that worked on digital initiatives.

While Julie works on both business and consumer products at Quotient, she almost always has the end consumer in mind. In fact, she’s adamant about that. It’s a habit that goes back to her first job out of college, when she was taking customer service questions and complaints for an insurance company in her hometown of Atlanta.

“I answered more than 100 customer calls a day at my first job,” she said. “To me, you don’t really think about what consumers want and need until you talk to them directly. My motto is to always keep the end customer in mind.”

And we’re happy to have her doing that for Quotient, where our products serve millions of consumers every day.

Julie holds a bachelor in business administration from Georgia State University. She is based at our headquarters in Mountain View, California, and will report to Steven Boal, Founder and CEO.
