New Philanthropic Website Attempts Guinness World Records® Title for Largest Lunch Box, Donates Lunches to Local Shelters

Mountain View, CA – August 15, 2012 – Today, giving back just got easier with the launch of Coupons for Change, the philanthropic arm of, and its new website that empowers consumers to make a difference in the lives of others simply by using coupons for everyday grocery and household items. Through the free and easy-to-use website, allows consumers access to their favorite coupons with a portion of the money from each coupon used from the site going to Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Every three coupons used provides a meal to children and their families who are at risk for hunger.

By using the printable coupons from the Coupons for Change site, users can be a part of social change, helping fight childhood hunger and giving back to those who are struggling without spending money or changing a behavior.

World’s Largest Lunchbox:

As part of the launch of the program, Coupons for Change will attempt to set the Guinness World Records® title for the world’s largest lunch box, to raise awareness of childhood hunger around the back-to-school season. As parents use coupons to purchase back-to-school lunch box items for their own children, they will also help provide a meal for another child who is struggling to eat.

The event will take place on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at’s offices located at 500 Logue Avenue in Mountain View, CA. The giant lunch box, ten times the size of a traditional lunch box, will be filled with over 400 backpacks containing food for children in need. Supporters and partners of Coupons for Change will attend the event, including Jed York, CEO of the San Francisco 49ers, along with several popular alumni players, participating in alignment with the 49ers Foundation’s mission to help keep kids “Safe, On Track and In School.” Other folks on hand for the event include: representatives of Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties (, Karae M. Lisle, CEO of InnVision Shelter Network (, and several families the organization has helped get back on their feet. All guests will help to fill backpacks for children in need, which will be donated to InnVision Shelter Network, a Bay Area non-profit dedicated to ending homelessness.
