She will oversee all of’s human resources functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and performance management, workforce planning, organizational development and facilities. Ms. Murgel brings 25 years of human resources experience—including more than a decade at the executive level—to the company. She most recently was executive HR consultant for Inc. focused on employee engagement, leadership development and strategic planning. Prior to her tenure at, Michele was at Threewave Software Inc., where she led the human resources function for the fast-growing game development studio. Before that, she was the head of human resources at Macromedia, Inc., overseeing an HR Team of 30, as the company grew from 350 people to well over 1,500 people and grew revenue five-fold to more than $500 million. She previously led the HR department for Alias Research in Toronto, implementing key programs to attract top talent that contributed to the company’s significant turnaround, leading to its merger with Silicon Graphics.

Recently, Michele combined her two passions of business and fitness to co-found a Barre-based fitness business in Vancouver, which recently celebrated the opening of a second location.
