Company Increases Headcount in Q3 by 25 Percent and Projects Continued Hiring in Q4
Mountain View, CA – November 10, 2011 – Coupons.com Incorporated, the recognized leader in digital coupons, including online printable, loyalty card, social and mobile price promotions, today announced that it has taken occupancy of an additional building to support its growing staff and business. Located at 510 Logue Avenue in Mountain View, the 23,000 square foot facility is within a few hundred feet of the company’s main location at 400 Logue and next door to its 25,700 square foot facility that it expanded into just nine months ago. With the lease of the new building, Coupons.com now occupies approximately 100,000 square feet, across four buildings in Silicon Valley.
“The new building is needed to accommodate our growing staff, and is the second time we have expanded our physical footprint this year,” said Steven Boal, CEO of Coupons.com Incorporated. “Digital coupons represents the fastest growing category of coupons, which continue to grow in popularity among brands and consumers, alike. Our rapid hiring is required to support this growing popularity as well as help accelerate our goal to move the currently paper-dominated coupon industry to digital.”
Coupons.com’s growth has accelerated since it received a $200 million investment in June. After adding 25 employees in the first half of the year to grow to 288 full-time employees as of June 30, the company increased its hiring pace six fold and added approximately 75 employees in the third quarter to grow by 25 percent in just three months. The company’s rapid hiring pace continues as it added another 20 employees in October and plans to add between 40 to 50 additional employees before the end of the year. These positions are across the organization, most heavily concentrated in engineering, sales, and marketing departments.
