Our California Office Leads the Charity Coat Drive

This past November, our Community Outreach team, Quotient for Change, decided to celebrate the season of giving by launching a coat drive competition across its US offices. The goal was to motivate employees to donate coats to various organizations across the US to help those in need over the winter months.

To drive some friendly competition between the offices, we pledged an additional donation to the designated charity of whichever office donated the most coats.

It Was a Close Race, But One Office Came Out on Top

With the pandemic, we wanted to make it flexible for teams. Each office (including our remote workers) had a suggested coat drive where employees could drop off their winterwear. Additionally, if people were unable to physically drop off coats, we outlined an option to donate money towards one of the charities instead.

It was a close race up until the finish. Some team members decided to get their own communities involved and organized neighborhood collections of coats to drop off. Others cleaned out their closets and donated not just coats but other clothing options and household goods.

In the end, our Mountain View, CA office led with a donation of 122 coats! Their designated charity, CityTeam, will be receiving an additional donation from Quotient. CityTeam is founded on meeting local needs. Their programs offer help and hope by assisting community members with hot meals, groceries, shelter, housing and restorative programs, learning and career help and more.

Overall, the Q-Crew came in strong—exceeding our goal and donating hundreds of coats to those in need! We’re thrilled to help our local communities while enjoying a little friendly competition along the way.
